Environmental Policy

RemServe Medical and its employees are committed to working toward the delivery of environmentally sustainable outcomes within the operations of the business and achieving continuous improvement in environmental performance.

We aim to recycle everything possible in our deliveries out and our business waste. Reviewing performance on a regular basis and consulting with our team on any further possible improvements.

We work with a third-party logistics distribution centre based on Gosport, they are committed to a policy to achieve Net Zero by 2050. They have a corporate and social responsibility policy focussing on Community, People, Environment and Responsible Trading.

Ethical Trading

At RemServe Medical we are passionate and committed to making sure that all our customers, suppliers and employees understand our ethical obligations and responsibilities.

RemServe Medical recognises the responsibility that we share with our suppliers to operate ethically. Promoting appropriate working conditions across our supply chain is part of our strategy to act in a socially responsible manner. In pursuit of our aims, we require that all our suppliers comply with our Ethical Trading Policy.

We expect our suppliers to have ethical processes and policies in place throughout their supply chain. We will monitor supplier compliance with this policy and support risk management, continuous improvement, and capacity building, including the requirement for suppliers to provide reasonable information as evidence of compliance with our Ethical-Trading Policy. We regularly audit our supply chain to ensure our suppliers are compliant with our ethical trading code of practice.

Our Code of Practice is:

Employment should be freely chosen and non-discriminatory. It must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, and codes of practice in the country of origin with regards to:

• Health and Safety of all individuals involved in the manufacturing process of the products.
• Elimination of the utilisation of any person who is under the legal age of employment.
• Provision of acceptable conditions of employment, with decent living conditions and reasonable hours of working.
• There is no forced, bonded, or involuntary prison labour.
• Workers are not required to lodge ‘deposits’ or their ID papers with their employer and are free to leave their employer after reasonable notice.
• Workers have the right to join or form a trade union.
• The employer adopts an open attitude towards the activities of a trade union and their organisational activities.
• Workers’ representatives are not discriminated against and have access to carry out their functions at the workplace.

Products are sourced solely from countries that operate an effective policy to minimise the environmental impact of their operations and consider sustainability issues. This includes:

• The production, sales and distribution of the products.
• The disposal of any waste products generated in the production process of the materials.
• The disposal of any materials that do not comply with the stipulated specification.
• Effective recycling of materials wherever possible, reducing the negative impact on the natural environment, harmful chemicals and greenhouse gasses and reduce the pollution caused by waste.

All products must carry the CE standard mark that indicates conformity with health, safety, and environmental protection standards for products sold within the European Economic Area. The CE marking is also found on products sold outside the EEA that have been manufactured to EEA standards. We are currently working with our suppliers to ensure the correct UKCA marking is applied to relevant products when the standard becomes mandatory.
